I’m Dee and I moved to Hong Kong in 2006 from Canada and am the co founder of SUP YOGA HK and Float On Hong Kong.
When I first moved here, I found myself diving deep into the practice and study of yoga while working a full time job. Since, I’ve taken two 200 hour teacher trainings and multiple diplomas so I can teach moms and babies up to adults and even yoga on the water. I have collaborated and consulted on wellness programs, wellness events and festivals to bring some of what I do to spread work/life balance in this vibrant city.
By intention and design, over the last 10 years in what’s now become Home Kong, I am living a life I love, always learning and hoping to inspire others and help them connect back to themselves through yoga, meditation or floating.
In 2013 after working at lululemon athletica as their Asia community connector, I founded with Nadine Bubner, SUP YOGA HK. We wanted to see if people were ready to take their yoga practice off the mat and onto the water with us and really get present! Now, we are hosting our first SUP YOGA teacher training and bringing yoga and fitness on water with the launch of Boga Fitmats!
In 2015 I co-founded Float On Hong Kong with my husband. The first float therapy centre to open it’s doors and help people relax and de-stress. It’s the ultimate power off from all electronics and an hour to literally float in a pod filled with 500 kilograms of epsom salts and water. I guess you could say, I found a way to bring the salty sea water to the city.
I hope you’ll find something in this space that resonates with you and discover something that will take you one step closer to living a balanced life that you love!
